san francisco, 24 august, 1933dear murray,
received your letter to-day & was surely pleased to hear from you. sorry we could not meet here. we leave to-morrow & i don't know where we go next.
best wishes
ray
(a lovely friend gave me a postcard recently, one she found on ebay...so mysterious. i mean, who is murray tyson? why couldn't he meet ray" & who was ray? the possibilities are endless.)

aka macy moo, the black dog, bassador (half basset hound, half black lab), old bluehair, the hunter, sherlock pita-the great bread detective.
(in the usual order) orange felt dog pouch-$40 smacks. iphone case (SO cool!)-$34.90. punk rock cassette tape zipp-y bag-$38 clams. rabbit pillow-$32 one dollar bills. elizabethan collar weiner dog pillow-$40 bucks (i mean SERIOUSLY?!?! so a++).
let me explain. i love robots (*noted) & they are in weird places all over my apartment. there are 3 shades of green from the living room to the hallway to the romper room to the bathroom. because i wanted it that way. i have a frame on the wall with nothing in it. not because i am getting a great print "matted" or waiting for the right "piece" to fit the space. no, it's empty on purpose. & the purpose? no idea.
none of my dishes go together-again, by choice. when you have matching plates & cups & bowls,
oh-me-oh-my. what a week. it's official, there are NOT enough hours in a day to get half the things done that need to get done. remember that lame-o movie with michael keaton, multiplicity? sadly, i dream of this being true about 753 times a day.
i bought these radical diane keaton gloves to pimp out my night time look. (ps, the tshirt message is "guns don't kill people. people with mustaches kill people.")
had a GREAT trip. what i was able to get done in 6 days, it would have taken 5+ weeks to do via fedex back & forth. hangzhou is called "the most romantic city in china." & it really is...well, could be, if i wasn't working & locked in my hotel room or the factory.
& then there's the other random awesomeness...like this make-shift stroller.
can't wait to show you the new pattern & new items being made for molly mutt...really, REALLY exciting stuff!!
leaving in less than 24 hours for china. this sounds elitist, but i used to go there SO OFTEN, almost every few weeks at my old job. i totally took it for granted. this time, though, i am going for me and my business. much more exciting. & yes, being as this is my fledgling trip-and i am a startup...i will be flying lovely economy. for some reason, though, the excitement of going to my favorite country ever overrides the being-cramped-for-13-hours thing.

for xmas this year, i got a diana f+ camera. it's pure plastic loveliness, needs real film & weighs about 2 ounces. it's fantastic. ps, reader please note, i am an amateur at best with all of the various cameras i have. it's just for fun. makes me happy.

he likes to touch young women in the crowded subway of tokyo - mainly in the rush hour, when it is so crowded that nobody realizes what he is doing. he always carries his camera to take some voyeuristic pictures. because of guys like him some of the japanese railway systems have women only cars, which are marked with a big pink sticker.
when did it become fashionable to hate & revile the letter "e"?
ok, there are some GREAT pet photographers. i mean, probably the happiest i've been all week is checking out some of these awesome captures.
