so it all started when i saw these cubbies abandoned on a curb. i wanted to take them with me, but was walking 3 dogs, so carrying them was out of the question. oh lucky day. there was a trader joe's shopping cart just halfway down the block. so i pushed the cart full-o-cubbies all the way, while my friend took the dogs & laughed at me the entire mile home. (butthead.)
this is what they looked like up-close. i swear it looks like someone drew a penis on one of them (which maybe i should have kept, for the irony of a pee-pee drawn in crayon?)
i sanded & repainted them & they look fantastic. (yes, i am aware i could have bought these brand new @ ikea for $6, but it was the adventure that made it worth it.)
