a ponzi scheme. i heard that this morning on npr-had to look it up. tragic to admit, but true. art tells me it's like the movie the sting. an elaborate scheme that relies on pyramid investors who contribute money to a fraudulent program. wiki'ed it too, and lo & behold, the term was coined because of charles ponzi, one of the "greatest swindlers in american history."he made his dirty money from something to do with stamps. ridiculous.
