we have THREE entirely new product lines & a new pattern.

armor
we have been asked by customers & retailers alike about a way to protect the inside of our dog be duvets. after much experimentation, and a few water hose fights, we are finally able to introduce to you our waterproof liner - armor.
armor is made of waterproof nylon & designed specifically to go over the stuff sack & under the duvet. we even put a protective nylon cover over the zipper

pillow pack
sometimes, your dog just wants a stylish pillow to rest on. is that too much to ask?! not anymore! (ps, we are SUPER excited about this one!)
the molly mutt pillow pack has a zipper closure & attaches to your duvet with velcro strips (easy as pie!) better yet-pillow packs come in our stylish designs-so not only will your dog look good, so will their new "fainting couch!" starting at only $20-it's a perfect addition if you already have a duvet!

crate covers
no longer does your crate have to be an eyesore in your fabulous home or office. with the molly mutt crate cover, you'll have a crate that matches your lifestyle (& your living room!)

we designed our crate covers in our fab patterns, with a front panel that rolls up for easy access, or rolls down for complete closure-for when you need a break from the crate, or your dog needs a break from you...!


glory days
black & white has consistently been our most requested colour combination. and so here you have it! in the oh-so-popular chevron pattern, what's not to love?!

& in honor of this glorious fact, i decided to make sugar cookies that matched the colours of the new midnight train pattern!

& like all well-thought-out ideas (a-hem)...this one failed miserably. i am not a free-hand artist, let's be real. so when i attempted to cut shapes without a pattern out of cookie dough-let's just say i wasn't too impressed by the end results...*coughs* here's a picture to show you that not all craft/baking projects we do over here are successes. ouch.

thankfully i saved most of the dough & just made bone & hydrant shaped cookies-that did look great & matched the new pattern.

fade into you by mazzy star is this week's music monday song!

i thought i should take this time to talk about an issue a lot of you know about-and that is terrible stereotyping of breeds. we used a pit bull (one mr. nestor pants) as our model, and when we launched this new pattern, we received such a loving reception from the people of the pit bull community-it was almost unreal!

there are a LOT of great organizations working to bring awareness to the slogan "it's not the breed!" thanks to groups like bad rap & stubby dog, the message is getting out there & helping these lovely dogs!

in honor of their hard work, we would like to donate 10% of all web sales from today through the end of this friday to these 2 rescues. please help us spread the word!!

music monday: the soundtrack of my life

so you may or may not know that all molly mutt patterns are named after songs (*gasp! it all makes sense now!)

one of the first patterns when we first opened for business was "your hand in mine". it remains, 2 years later, one of our most popular patterns.

since i first heard this song, i knew i would include it my life's soundtrack. it's absolutely perfect for that great transition scene-where each image blurs into the next one, in that muddled movie way. (i can seriously picture this down to the pictures i would use. yes, i am nothing if not a nerd.)

between the hours of 2-4 am...i am a-sewing my brains out

that's right. i am getting my money's worth out of my machine recently. i am a woman possessed. i've made skirts out of old ratty curtains, aprons out of duvet scraps & more purses than louis vuitton (ok, maybe that's a teense of an overstatement...)

lessons i've learned in my recent foray into sewing:
1. seam ripper = bff. i want a cord to wear mine around my neck.
2. i am a complete spaz when it comes to patterns & find i am much better suited to work (& live) without instructions. (big surprise...) the best way to figure out what you want is take something you like, rip it all apart, and sew it all back together!
3. downstairs neighbors can get cranky when you sew at 2 am. *noted*







(the a-line skirt is super easy-once you figure out how to put a zipper in the side...which was a feat-and you can do a million things with it. it's not a pattern so much as a calculation. link here) baby kimono free sewing pattern here-it's super easy & is a great/cheap gift! link here.

**and yes, some of these pictures are awful...blurg. but i've got to SEW people...and that doesn't leave much time for photography.
